The Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (GSCSC) is a wholly Government owned company, established under the Indian Companies Act – 1956, clause 617 vide Government resolution no. CSC/1180/1469/A Dt. 25/09/1980 passed by the Food and Civil Supplies Dept., Government of Gujarat.The primary objective of the Corporation is – procurement, storage and distribution of essential commodities for Fair Price Shopkeepers (FPSs) under Public Distribution System (PDS) and other Government welfare schemes like Mid Day Meal and Integrated Child Development Services etc.Corporation have head office at Gandhinagar, district offices at the major district head quarters and godown centres for storage at major taluka places. Corporation has storage capacity of about 2.84 lakh Metric tonne (MT). Corporation needs more storagecapacity for PDS scheme.For the purpose, corporation has already started construction of new godowns .
