The RRBs were established in India under RRB Act 1976 [23(1)]. During the period from 1976 to 2006 banking industry had undergone various changes and RRBs were no exception. Considering the need for structural changes in RRBs in view of dynamically changing economic scenario, Govt. of India vide its notification dt. 25.03.2008 amalgamated the two RRBs i.e. Aurangabad Jalna Gramin Bank & Thane Gramin Bank into a single RRB named Maharashtra Godavari Gramin Bank. Maharashtra Gramin Bank came in to existence on 20th July 2009 after amalgamation of erstwhile Maharashtra Godavari Gramin Bank and Marathawada Gramin Bank as per the notification issued by Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services ref No F.No. 1/4/2006-RRB(II) dated 20July 2009 with its head office at Nanded. The Bank is sponsored by Bank of Maharashtra. The share capital of the Bank is contributed by Government of India, Government of Maharashtra and Bank of Maharashtra in proportion of 50:15:35. Repositioning the Bank in a competitive market by accomplishing turn around in profitability and NPA reduction, to double the flow of credit to agriculture, to achieve a quantum jump in savings bank deposit mobilisation, and pursue the best practices for delivering the value added service to our customers by transforming the branches into the most preferred banking outlet in rural areas. Maharashtra Gramin Bank Recruitment 2015 Officer Scale I and II invites the application from the required candidates and the candidates who are eligible for the posts may go through the notification and apply for them before the last date 04th February 2015.

Probation Period : 1) Candidates selected for the post of Officer Scale-I, II, will be put on Probation for a period of 2 years which can be extended for a further period not exceeding 1 year. 2) Candidates selected for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will be put on probation for a period of 1 year which can be extended for a further period not exceeding 6 months.

Bond Amount :Candidates selected for appointment to the cadre of Officer Scale-I &Scale II, have to execute a bond agreeing to pay to the Bank a sum of Rs.50000/-, PLUS training cost, if any, in the event
of their leaving the Bank’s job within a period of three years from the date of their joining. Similarly, candidates selected for appointment to the cadre of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) have to execute a bond agreeing to pay to the Bank a sum of 25000/-Plus training costs, if any, in the event of their leaving the Bank’s job within a period of three year from the date of their joining. This will be in addition to the provisions of regulation 10 of Maharashtra Gramin Bank (Officers and Employees) Service Regulations-2010.

Selection Procedure :  For Office Assistant (Multipurpose):- Selection will be made on the basis of performance in RRBs- CWE-III conducted by IBPS in September/ October 2014 and Personal Interview. Merit list of the candidates for final selection based on Total Weighted Scores (TWS) obtained by them in CWE of IBPS and Personal Interview will be prepared in descending order under each SC/ST/OBC/UR category. For Officer Scale-I:- Selection will be made on the basis of performance in RRBs- CWE-III conducted by IBPS in September/ October 2014 and Personal Interview. Merit list of the candidates for final selection based on Total Weighted Scores (TWS) obtained by them in CWE of IBPS and Personal Interview will be prepared in descending order under each SC/ST/OBC/UR category. For Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer):- Selection will be made on the basis of performance in RRBs- CWE-III conducted by IBPS in September/ October 2014 and Personal Interview. Merit list of the candidates for final selection based on Total Weighted Scores (TWS) obtained by them in CWE of IBPS and Personal Interview will be prepared in descending order under each SC/ST/OBC/UR category. For Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officer ) :- Selection will be made on the basis of performance in RRBs- CWE-III conducted by IBPS in September/ October 2014 and Personal Interview. Merit list of the candidates for final selection based on Total Weighted Scores (TWS) obtained by them in CWE of IBPS and Personal Interview will be prepared in descending order under each SC/ST/OBC/UR category. IT, CA, Law, Treasury, Marketing and Agricultural Officer.  For Officer Scale-III:- Selection will be made on the basis of performance in RRBs- CWE-III conducted by IBPS in September/ October 2014 and Personal Interview. Merit list of the candidates for final selection based on Total Weighted Scores (TWS) obtained by them in CWE of IBPS and Personal Interview will be prepared in descending order under each SC/ST/OBC/UR category.

Personal Interview : Depending on the number of vacancies, Bank will call from among who have applied to bank, the number, equivalent to three times the number of vacancies short-listed based on their Total Weighted Scores (TWS). Remaining applicants, if any will not receive an interview call from the Bank. The total marks for Interview will be_30.The minimum qualifying marks for interview is 12.

Interview Centre : The Interview will be held at the _Maharashtra Gramin Bank HO Aurangabad centre and the complete address of the venue will be advised in the call letters. The address of the venues will also be displayed in the Bank’s website one week before the dates for commencement of Interviews.
