Chief Commissioners Office of Central Excise Recruitment 2015Prior to re-organisation of Central Excise Commissionerates with effect from 1-11-2002, Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, Chennai Zone was having jurisdiction over the entire State of Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Pondicherry and part of Pariyaram Village of Mukundapuram taluk of Trichur District of the State of Kerala. This zone comprised of six Central Excise Commissionerates namely – Chennai I Chennai II Chennai III Madurai Trichy and Coimbatore. Consequent on re-organisation of Central Excise Commissionerates and Chief Commissioner’s Zones, Coimbatore Chief Commissioner’s Zone has been formed w.e.f. 1-11-2002 carving it out of the jurisdiction of the erstwhile Chennai Chief Commissioner’s Zone. Office of the Chief Commissioner of Central Excise Chennai, Department of Revenue, Chief Commissioners Office of Central Excise Recruitment 2015 invited applications for the Posts of Tax Assistant and Stenographer-Gr-II against Sports Quota. The eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 20 February 2014.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Tax Assistant–
  1. Graduate in any discipline from any recognized university’
  2. Should possess a data entry speed of 8000 key depression per hour
  3. 12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university
  4. Skill test norms- Dictation: 10 minutes@80 words per minute- Transcription 50 minutes- English: 65 minutes- Hindi: on computer
  • Stenographer-Gr-II–

Age Limit:  18-27 Years

Selection Procedure

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of interview/exam conducted by the organization.
