Andhra Pradesh Micro Irrigation Project (APMIP), is the unique and first comprehensive project being implemented in a big way in Andhra Pradesh for the past 11 years. APMIP was launched in the month of November, 2003.The Project aims at improving the economic conditions of the farmers by conserving water, bringing additional area into cultivation with the available water resources, enhancing the crop productivity and production, quality, facilitating judicious usage of ground water, saving in power consumption and cost of cultivation. APMIP is being implemented with the assistance from Government of India, State Government and farmer contribution. In view of the deficit Rainfall, Rain shadow regions, unpredictable rains and considerable depletion of ground water, the farming community realized the need to adopt the technologies of Micro Irrigation to achieve the concept of “More crop per Drop”. Government of Andhra Pradesh has set a goal to cover the entire potential area available in all the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh under Micro Irrigation, within the next five years. AP Horticulture Recruitment 2015 for Officers Posts Vacancies has invited the applications from the interested candidates and the eligible candidates for the posts are requested to apply for the posts on or before 28th February 2015.

Name of the Organization: Andhra Pradesh Horticulture Department
Number of vacancies: 95 posts
Designation: Horticulture Officers
AGE: Candidates who are willing to apply for horticulture officer jobs in AP must be under 40 years of age by 1st July 2015. SC/ST and other reserved category applicants will be given relaxation in maximum age limit.
Education: The qualification required for the said posts is Degree in horticulture or any graduation however the priority will be given to the B.sc horticulture applicants in case of unavailability M.sc agriculture candidates will be considered
Selection Process:
For the selection of applicants there will be no competitive exam or personal interview, candidates will be shortlisted based on the percent of marks they have secured in the Degree or Masters in Horticulture and experience counts in the 10 mark scale.
Pay Scale: INR. 16, 150/- to INR. 42, 590/- will be paid to the selected candidates as monthly salary
