Age limit for Southern Railway SRC Recruitment 2016 :

For freshers:

For Welder (G&E), Carpenter, Painter and Upholster: Candidate age must be between 15 to 20 yrs.

For Fitter, Electrician and  R&AC:Candidate age must be between 15 to 22 yrs.

For Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, and Cardiology): Candidate age must be between 15 to 24 yrs.

For Experienced ITI candidates:

For Welder (G&E), Carpenter, Painter and Wireman: Candidate age must be between 15 to 22 yrs.

For Fitter, Electrician, R&AC, Winder (Armature), Cable, Jointer, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic ( HT,LT) equipment & Cable Jointing, Turner, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, MMV:Candidate age must be between 15 to 24 yrs.

Number of vacancies: 862.

Job Pay scale: For first, Second and Third yrs railway board gives Rs 5700,6500 and 7350 respectively as a stipend.

Location of the job: Chennai.

Application fee: candidate should pay demand draft of Rs 100 per application in the favor of southern railway, Chennai . Fee exempted for SC,ST,PWD and women candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:  candidate must be citizen of India.

Selection process: Selection process will be based on physical test followed by Interview.
