Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), a unique P. C. Mahalanobish institution devoted to the research, teaching and application of statistics, natural sciences and social sciences. Founded by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on 17th December, 1931, the institute gained the status of an Institution of National Importance by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959. The Headquarters of ISI is located in the northern fringe of the metropolis of Kolkata. Additionally, there are four centres located in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Tezpur. Research in Statistics and related disciplines is the primary activity of the Institute. Junior Research Fellow Jobs recruitment in Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata (ISI Kolkata) on purely temporary basis
Project Title : “Statistical methods to detect epistasis and gene-environment interactions in genetic association study”
Qualification : MSc in Statistics and CSIR/UGC NET qualified (JRF or Lecturership) as per DST guidelines.
No. of Post : 1
Fellowship : CSIR/UGC NET qualified JRF – Rs.16,000/- per month HRA as per rules (for the first two year) and Rs. 18,000/- per month HRA as per rules (for the third year)
Age Limit : 35 Yrs as on 01st December, 2015
