The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09 th November, 2000 under the Reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand vide Notification No.247/1Karmik 2001 dated 14 th March, 2001(Annexure1). At present the strength of the Commission is the Chairman & the Six Members(Annexure2). The working of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission is regulated by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Procedure and Conduct of Business Rule 2007{ Framed by the Lok sewa Ayog Uttarakhand under section 11 of U.P. State Lok sewa Ayog(Prakriya ka viniyaman) Adhiniyam, 1985 Uttarakhand Anukulan awam Upantaran Adesh, 2002.}. Uttarakhand is a state in the northern part of India. It is often referred to as the Devbhumi (literally “Land of the Gods”) due to the many Hindu temples and pilgrimage centres found throughout the state. Uttarakhand is known for its natural beauty of the Himalayas, the Bhabhar and the Terai. On 9 November 2000, this 27th state of the Republic of India was created from the Himalayan and adjoining northwestern districts of Uttar Pradesh.[4] It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region, China on the north; the Mahakali Zone of the Far-Western Region, Nepal on the east; and the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh to the south and Himachal Pradesh to the northwest. The state is divided into two divisions, Garhwal and Kumaon, with a total of 13 districts. The provisional capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun, the largest city in the region, which is a railhead. Age Limit:

1. Candidates age should be between 21 to 42 Years as on 01st July 2015.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidates should possess Post Graduate/ Master degree in specific subject with B. Ed / M. Ed or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.

Pay Scale:

• Rs. 9,300-34,800/- + GP Rs. 4,800/- per month

1. For General/ OBC Category Candidates should have to pay Rs. 100/-
2. For SC/ST/PwD/ Ex-Servicemen Candidates need to pay Rs. 60/-
